Plexbrown

Modded Amp

Based on a vintage Marshall 1959 with several modifications.

We all know the legendary "Brown Sound", so we set out to create the ultimate amplifier without the usual compromises. We've built in a Variac set to just the right voltage and added a carefully voiced echo preamp with the EQ curve designed to deliver that aggressive, biting high-gain tone that makes you never want to put your guitar down.

But we didn't stop there. We also wanted a clean channel that was anything but thin or lifeless. Inspired by the classic Fender Twin Reverb, it delivers rich, sparkling cleans with that unmistakable midrange punch you'd expect from a Marshall.

For that "Brown Sound", we highly recommend pairing it with the Brown Sound Cabs, loaded with vintage Greenbacks, G1265 and D120. It's the perfect match.
